LASIK / PRK Surgery
LASIK / PRK Surgery PRE- AND POST-OP Care
LASIK and other forms of laser refractive surgeries are very common, safe, and an effective way of correcting a person’s vision. At Montana Eyecare, we’re here to help patients in the local Helena area get the vision correction they need. If you’re thinking about LASIK or PRK, or you just want to talk about laser refractive surgery as an option to correct your vision, reaching out to us can help get that process started. We’ll provide you with all the information you need to make the best decisions for your visual needs.
Pre-Op Information
As you plan and prepare for your laser refractive surgery, you want to make sure you follow the pre-op instructions closely to help ensure you’ll have an easy, successful procedure without any additional risk complications. If you wear contact lenses, you’ll need to leave them out for a few days before the procedure and wear glasses instead. This way, your eyes will be as close to their natural state as possible, limiting variations in your prescription.
Post-Op Care
Post-op care is just as important as pre-op care for laser refractive surgery. You’ll be given eye drops to use to help prevent infection and decrease post operative inflammation. Protective googles will be provided to protect your eyes while you sleep. The doctors at Montana Eyecare will monitor your progress on a daily and weekly basis to ensure your recovering is going well and your outcome is a successful one.
